Q: My doctor has recommended a course of Lupron injections to treat "suspected" endometriosis. She has insisted this is a very safe, non-invasive course of treatment. I am concerned about possible side effects of the treatment, including insulin sensitivity, inflammation and blood pressure. How does Lupron treatment fit in the Zone program?
A: The Zone Diet will decrease many of the side-effects that you described for Lupron. This is especially true when the Zone Diet is combined with ultra-refined EPA/DHA concentrates at about 5 grams of EPA and DHA per day.
