Zone helps improve physical performance

Last Updated Sep 2007

Since I was born I was diagnosed with nemaline myopathy, a kind of muscle dystrophy. I was always weaker than other children and because of this my metabolism and my stamina were low. I should also mention that I had quite a lot of bodyfat, around 20-25 %.

All these changed somehow when I started to work out at my local gym. My bodyfat fell to 20% and then to 17%. I got a little stronger and my stamina went up a bit. However, no matter what I did and how hard I tried I wouldn't improve more than that.

Then a copy of "The Zone" came into my hands. It changed the way I encountered diet and nutrition. My goal wasn't just to lose fat, but also to improve my physical performance. This is exactly what happened: 1. My grades at the university went up, because I could digest all this knowledge with ease. 2. I improved my strength and stamina to the point that now I can deadlift 102% of my own bodyweight (I have muscle dystrophy remember?) and I can swim 400 yards in nine minutes. 3. Whenever I have blood test the doctors are amazed to the point that they envy me for such perfect results. 4. My body fat is now 17%. I know it's not what one would call "low", but I speculate this is due to stress and some anti-stress drugs my doctor used to prescribe.
