I have the worst sleep habits and I don’t know how to fix them the longest I can go with out sleep is 3 nights then I have to take a sleeping pill I want to stop this and don’t know how

It sounds like a case of severely disrupted circadian rhythms. I would suggest the following.

1. Try to refrain from watching TV or computer screens at least two hours before going to bed. Both use blue light to intensify the screen illumination. That fools the brain into thinking it’s sunrise.

2. Try to replace her typical reading light with low-blue out lights. The light will not be less intense, but it will be lower in blue light. Before going to bed, do her reading under such low blue light conditions.

3. Just before bed, spend about 20 minutes meditating about nothing (it’s hard) to calm the mind down.

4. Finally, follow the Zone diet to reduce insulin resistance, and be sure to eat her last meal two hours before sunset.
